  25. This does not accord with the reviews I have read. In point of fact those
  26. reviews placed Practical Peripherals right dead at the bottom in regards to its
  27. ability to establish a connection.

  34. I have access to such a testing lab on BIX. The practical peripherals situation
  35. was so bad that the lab had to try to help them with their problems. (It appears
  36. it may have been partially repaired - it hated REAL GOOD lines - it had a divide
  37. by zero problem possibly.) Supras were another that had severe connection
  38. problems. External USR Sportsters and Couriers were consistently among the best
  39. as were the premium Hayes models. The Sportster PCMCIA card is - well, there is
  40. no polite way to describe it other than it is not up to the quality and
  41. standards of the others.

  43. In re ZyXel I may have the memory of the Computer Shopper tests maybe 6-8 months
  44. ago. But I think it was another that could not even complete the tests they put
  45. it through.
